Ferran glues the internal strengthening strip to the back.

The outer rings of Ferran's rosette are glued into the White Spruce front. Bone pieces are then fitted to the resulting channel.

The truss rod, which consists of an adjustable steel rod in an aluminium channel, is glued in using an epoxy resin.

Ferran is using a small sanding drum to acheive the detail in his headstock shape. No prizes for spotting the health and safety faux pas!

The sides have been bent and wedges are made where the sides will fit into the heel slots.

The hand applied sunburst is achieved by building up with stains.

The stains accentuate the lacy figure of the medullary ray in the white spruce.
