Garry starts by joining and thicknessing the maple cap.

The alder body is then planed flat and to thickness.

Having cut the neck block out, Garry prepares and glues the truss rod in.

A large channel is then routed into the body to house the concealed thru-neck block.

The neck is then glued into place.

Garry has cut out the maple top and is shaping the f hole.

The maple cap and the fingerboard are next to be glued.

Hammering the frets in.

The first stage of the sunburst is the base or central colour.

The darker outer colour is then built up.

The opaque edge is then sprayed on. The whole instrument is then sprayed with clear lacquer.

This lacquer is flattened prior to polishing.
