Hillary has joined her lacewood back and is planing it to thickness.

Hillary has fitted one herringbone ring and is preparing the channel for another, outer ring.

The front braces have been prepared and are glued to the thicknessed cedar front.

Hillary is carving the braces with small planes. Braces are generally left larger on a large bodied 12 string guitar.

A truss rod is fitted into a channel which is routed into the neck below the fingerboard.

The headstock is shaped and is as yet unthicknessed.

The headstock is now thicknessed and the machine head holes are drilled.
