The soundhole decoration is a simple ring of ebony and boxwood.

The wood soundhole decoration is sealed with shellac before the front is stained.

Hordur has applied the sunburst and is scraping the colour off the plastic binding and the sealed soundhole decoration before the clear lacquer is applied.
