Owen starts by joining the rosewood back and is checking for any light between the two halves.

When prepared the back is glued in a jig where the two halves are held in alignment and clamped together using wedges.

The front and back have been joined, cut to shape and thicknessed. The spruce braces are then prepared and glued in place using go bars.

The bottom of the cocobolo bridge must be shaped to match the curve on the front. A plane gives the best gluing surface.
