Pete cuts the f hole out of the front before gluing. The area around the f hole has been thinned slightly.

The maple cap is then glued to the body using dowels outside the final shape to ensure correct alignment.

The truss rod and carbon fiber reinforcement strips Pete is using have been installed into the neck blank and the fillets that cover them are planed flush.
