The frets have been stoned and are recrowned with a special file.

The maple bindings are sealed with shellac prior to colouring the guitar. They can then be scraped clean before the clear lacquer is applied

The lacquer has been flattened and polished and the pickup is fitted. This is a job best done with the aid of a cup of tea - as evidenced by the reflection in the lacquer.
