The American walnut body is planed flat to receive the maple cap and checked with a straight edge.

The maple is glued onto the walnut body after channels have been routed for the wiring.

Meanwhile the walnut neck has been blocked up and the truss rod has been fitted. Next up, the headstock veneer is glued on.
